I read today that:
"In a surprising move, the IRS announced February 10 that it now believes that money spent on breast pumps and breast-feeding supplies qualifies as a medical expense under section 213(d) and is eligible for the itemized medical expense deduction or reimbursable through tax-favored health flexible spending accounts (FSAs)."
Now for the disclaimer .... the IRS statement does not indicate whether the ruling is retroactive [for last year, 2010] or not. And this is just something I read, not advise from Dale.

Really?? That is interesting! Do the changes come into affect now? So if I bought a breast pump last year can I claim it now? Or is it for this year forward?
Have Dale check it out. He is a tax man now! This could help several people I know!
Sounds good if you are looking for more medical expenses to add up, but remember they have to reach 7% of your income to be written off. Sorry Michael is always shooting me down when I try and find things to write off.
